A Summer Full of Memories – Brick Fest Live Fun
Last summer was no fun for my kiddos! I spent most of the summer in the hospital which meant they missed out on all the typical fun a child would have during the summer months. This year, I am determined that they WILL have an awesome summer! We started it off with a trip to the Chicago area where we went downtown for a Cubs game and went on a Boat Tour of the Chicago River. This past weekend, we went to a Durham Bulls Game and the NC Escape Room which was a load of fun but then spent HOURS on Saturday at the Brick Fest in Charlotte, NC.

All three of my kids (even my 14-year-old) had an awesome time at the Brick Fest! We went from station to station checking on each and every activity they offered. At the end of the day, I asked each of my kids what their favorite station was.

Here were their answers…
That’s hard because it was all so much fun! I really liked the Glow in the Dark station. It kind of reminded me of alien type stuff. BUT I also really liked getting to see SOOOO many Lego Minifigures! -Ryan, age 10

I liked making a tower in the circle with the blue Legos. I got to knock it down. -Camila, age 4

I stayed at the Glow in the Dark station for a long time. It was pretty neat getting to build stuff and then put it under the black light to see it glow. It makes the Legos look completely different! – Cameron, age 14

The Brick Fest is held all over the US throughout the year. So, if you missed the one in Charlotte is not close to the Charlotte, NC area, check out other Brick Fest Live locations.
