Memorial Day

This is an American holiday marked on the last Monday of May, meant to honor the individuals who lost their lives while serving the US military. It was originally called Decoration Day, and it started in the years following the Civil War, becoming an official holiday in 1971. 

Most Americans mark this day by visiting memorials for cemeteries, participating in parades, and having family gatherings. Unofficially, this holiday usually marks the start of summer.

Fourth of July

The Fourth of July or Independence Day traditional celebrations date back to the end of the American Revolution. The Continental Congress voted for self-rule on July 2^nd, 1776. On the 4^th, the 13 colonies’ delegates adopted the Declaration for Independence, a crucial legal instrument in the history of the USA framed by Thomas Jefferson. 

Since 1776, Americans have marked July 4^th as the birth of independence. Festivities on this day range from parades to fireworks, concerts, and family gatherings such as barbecues. When the fireworks start to pop and the picnics are in full swing, donning your patriotic attire is the way to go. 

Even if you decide to stay and celebrate the day indoors with your family, you must wear patriotic gear on this vital day of the nation. 

Flag Day

Flag Day or National Flag Day is a day for honoring the national flag in the US and is marked on June 14th to commemorate the 1777 date when the USA approved the first design for its national flag. The idea to set a day for the flag came from different quarters. 

Bernard J. Cigrand, a teacher, urged his students to mark June 14^th as the Flag Birthday and later wrote an essay in a Chicago paper urging Americans to follow suit. William T. Kerr founded the American Flag Association in 1888, encouraging people to celebrate the flag. 

There is also a less-known claim that George Morris from Connecticut was the first to organize the first formal celebration in 1861.

President Woodrow Wilson proclaimed July 14th the official Flag Day in 1916, and in 1949, Congress established the date. During this day, people fill their yards with American flags. But as you do so, do not forget to put on your attire that features the flag colors.

Constitution Day

Constitution Day is also called Citizenship Day. This US federal government observance honors the creation and adaptation of the Constitution and the persons that became US citizens by naturalization or birth. It is marked on September 17^th, the day in 1787 that the Constitutional Convention delegates in Philadelphia signed the Constitution. 

This is another day of the year when you want to don your favorite patriotic attire. You can buy a constitution-themed shirt to show love for your country and impress those around you. 

Also, you can look for any other clothing that indicates you appreciate this day and the democracy in the country, all thanks to the Constitution. 

Election Day

Election Day is held on Tuesday, which follows the first Monday of November. This is an excellent day to show off your patriotic gear as you head to the polls. It will be a perfect way to show patriotism and that you are always ready to undertake your civic responsibility.
