From now until December 30th, join Carowinds and their crew for a night of spectacular lights, rides, food, Christmas music and more. Talk about a way to get you in the Christmas mood REAL quick…. Carowinds Winterfest is the way to go! FIVE MILLION lights.. simply gorgeous! There is something for ALL ages.  

My husband and I took our boys and one of their friends to Carowinds Winterfest this past Saturday. None of us were disappointed. For my husband and I, walking through Candy Cane Lane, holding hands, and listening to Christmas music made for a great date night while the boys were off by themselves riding rides. For the boys, riding Afterburn in the Christmas lit scene was amazing.

Carowinds will come alive with holiday spirit during the all-new seasonal event, WinterFest. Friends and families will be treated to an ultimate holiday celebration as we magically transform our park into a winter wonderland – full of enchantment, cheer and classic family fun.

My husband and I enjoyed several of the shows. There are a dozen shows to enjoy while you are at the park for Winterfest.

As my husband and I walked through the park, we saw many smiles and heard many laughs. At almost any point in time, we could hear someone nearby singing along with the Christmas music playing live or through the speakers.

Excited children raced from ride to ride. Santa welcomed each and every child to sit on his lap while Mrs. Clause stood outside her kitchen greeting the many guests. Parents walked around snapping photos at the many decorated photo spots.

Carowinds employees were all decked out in Christmas attire. The entire atmosphere was exactly as it should be for Christmas. I felt like I was in a movie!

WinterFest is packed with all the sights, sounds, food and experiences of the holiday season. The state line will shine bright with over 5 million shimmering lights, a 70-foot tree and lavish displays. Live shows and strolling performers will be delighting guests and spreading Christmas cheer for all to hear. Festive fun and hands-on holiday activities will be located throughout the park, and sweet aromas from special holiday dishes and desserts will fill the midways. Plus, there will be up to 16 rides open to complete your night of memory making.

We will definitely be making this a family tradition for years to come. Carowinds outdid themselves and you could see it on the faces of every guest in attendance!
