When you think of “amusement park”, you probably think of a day trip, right? Me, too. Until our recent trip to Carowinds Amusement Park. Carowinds can be a full family vacation complete with days of riding roller coaster rides, water park fun, time meeting Snoopy and the gang, food (lots of food), drinks, camping in a tent, RV or a staying in a cabin, and a ton of memories without ever leaving Carowinds!
Carowinds Waterpark Brings Families Together in the Sun
Wanting to get the kids out of the house this summer but you don’t like the heat? Going to hang at the pool sounds great but can get boring after a while especially for older children. Carowinds offers tons of fun outdoors between their amusement park rides and the Carolina Harbor, Carowinds Waterpark!
Living two hours away from Carowinds has spoiled us over the years. My husband and I both had the opportunity to come for the day with our youth groups and friends as teenagers. Now, we come for the day to have fun with our own children! In all the years past, we really missed it! We missed the chance to make Carowinds more than just a day trip. Have you ever thought of STAYING at Carowinds? Now you can at Carowinds Camp Wilderness!
My 15-year-old got rather excited when he found out we had the all day dining plan for this visit to Carowinds. He is a true teenage bottomless pit, I mean boy. Ha! I am really not very sure if he was most excited about the rides or the food. Anyone who has been to Carowinds knows the food is good but if you haven’t tried the all day dining plan, I can tell you the savings makes eating all that delicious food easy and affordable.
Who doesn’t love a good theme park? Many of the top parks across the country offer something for nearly everyone. Whether it is a high-speed rollercoaster for the adrenaline junkie, amazing food for the foodie or other shows or musical attractions for adults, there is a little bit of something for all the older people.
