Non-Theme Park Entertainment in Orlando? Orlando Magic Game is a Must Amy Smith, March 20, 2018September 17, 2023 Orlando Magic Game Created a Perfect Ending to Our Florida Vacation! What comes to mind when Orlando is mentioned? No doubt thousands upon thousands flock there each year looking for the newest thrill ride or to meet their favorite movie or cartoon character. After a long day of walking, standing in lines and fighting the crowds at the different theme parks in Orlando, it is nice to find something the family can enjoy in a more relaxed (and seated) atmosphere. The Orlando Magic provided the perfect opportunity for a great ending to our vacation in Orlando! After our busy day, we made the short drive to downtown Orlando to watch the Magic take on the Boston Celtics. To be honest, I was a little hesitant when thinking about going downtown. I figured traffic would be horrible and parking would be even worse. To my surprise not only was it extremely easy to get to the Amway Arena but also so quick to take the walkway from the parking deck, straight to the arena. Once inside, we were amazed at the size and the beauty of the arena. Everything was in top shape and boy do they know how to use their video boards! They also had a huge variety of food venues to choose from, something pretty important when you have 3 kids in tow. We enjoyed pizza and some Cold Stone Ice Cream! The game was amazing. My husband and boys are huge basketball fans but being from the Carolinas, college basketball is what we are used to. This was actually my husband’s first NBA game. He and the boys are already talking about how we need to go back soon! While I enjoyed the game as well, my 4-year-old daughter was mesmerized by all the in-game entertainment. From the Magic dancers to the halftime performance to the two time NBA mascot of the year Stuff the Dragon, it made for an evening of laughs, memories, and great basketball! A truly perfect way to end our vacation! So, the next time you are in Orlando looking for a Magical way to spend the evening, make your way over to see the Magic play! You will be thankful you did!
