Benefits of Using and Storing Your Coffee Pods

I have to admit something – I love coffee! I am not talking about lattes and frappuccinos but freshly brewed coffee at home while I start my day. I love the aroma of a fresh pot of coffee and the way that the warmth of each sip envelops me into a peaceful start for the day.

Do you know what I don’t love so much? The process of making the coffee. Inevitably, I will spill the grounds on the counter, spill water as I pour it into the tank, or see small grounds at the bottom of every cup. Ugh! I love to drink it but making it can be a little daunting.

I enjoy the coffee but I struggle with the coffee preparation… until the fancy little machine called the Keurig was invented. Ah, the simplicity of this machine! I can now pop a pod in and voila I have a cup of coffee. Total bliss! Coffee pods have it all – convenience, easy cleanup, freshness, and variety.

Do you want to know a little fact about me? I love coffee but can’t have caffeine. Boo! Anyway, can you imagine going to a party or meeting and asking if you can brew your decaf coffee? Would I have the grounds in a bag complete with a coffee filter? Coffee pods have made it so much easier for me – I grab one of my coffee pods on the way out the door, and you are guaranteed to have coffee the way you like it (as long as they have a Keurig machine!).

As I mentioned before, I am admittedly a messy coffee pot operator. I generally have coffee grounds either under the filter that then make their way into the bottom of the pot (and inevitably my cup), or I have spilled water on the countertop where I have somehow failed to pour it all in properly. Pods have changed all that for me – even though I still have to fill up the water tank I no longer have to measure out the grounds and somehow manage to get every ground into the filter. I pop the pod in and start brewing my cup of fresh coffee. Afterward, I can remove the pod and toss it – no messy cleanup!

Fresh coffee is amazing! I have to admit that when I first started drinking coffee, it all seemed the same to me… until my first freshly ground coffee. That is why I love Brooklyn Beans coffee!
