The Richmond North/ Kings Dominion KOA Amy Smith, June 11, 2019December 31, 2022 Kings Dominion KOA Completes The Kings Dominion Experience With our recent trip to Kings Dominion, we needed to find a place to stay for a couple of nights. Since we live four hours away, we wanted to find a place near the park. We wanted to be nearby so we could check in the day before attending the park. That way, we could be at the gate as early as possible. Knowing it would be a late night (since we would stay all day), we figured we would spend the night after a day at the park, as well. The Richmond NorthKingsgs Dominion KOA was the perfect spot! It is literally located right next to the park. They even offer a free shuttle service back and forth to the park to help avoid their campers from dealing with the lines to get into the parking lot. It also helps save some cash as well! While we were super excited about the park, we were not expecting to enjoy the campground as much as we did. There were so many fun things to do at the KOA Campground. Upon our arrival, we went into the camp store. It was a really well-furnished store with all the snacks and camping supplies available for purchase that you could think of! Just beyond the store, each evening that we were there, they had an outdoor movie with popcorn! It was a really fun way to just relax outside and enjoy the outdoors while keeping the kiddos entertained too! There were many other fun things to do as well. From a beautiful in-ground pool to the full playground, basketball and volleyball courts, tether ball and even a huge checkerboard, you could spend hours outside with plenty to do. Of course, no campground is a campground without great accommodations. This KOA had several options and plenty of locations to meet your needs. From tent sites to sites equipped to handle campers and RVs of various sizes and they even cabins available for rent. Whatever the need, they have you covered! Since we don’t own an RV, our family stayed in one of their 32 deluxe cabins. These cabins feature A/C, WiFi, and four flat-screen TVs with DirectTv. This was really nice in the mornings as our daughter could watch her cartoons and our boys could catch up on the latest sports news without any disagreement on the choice of channel. These cabins also feature a small kitchenette and not one but TWO bathrooms. Considering each unit can sleep up to 10 people, it is a phenomenal deal even for the largest of families! So whether you are visiting Kings Dominion, Richmond, or just passing through on Interstate 95, be sure to check the Kings Dominion KOA. It will leave you just like our family, wanting to go back real soon! You can find out more about the Kings Dominion KOA Campground HERE. Connect with My Four and More on Social Media!
