When you think of “amusement park”, you probably think of a day trip, right? Me, too. Until our recent trip to Carowinds Amusement Park. Carowinds can be a full family vacation complete with days of riding roller coaster rides, water park fun, time meeting Snoopy and the gang, food (lots of food), drinks, camping in a tent, RV or a staying in a cabin, and a ton of memories without ever leaving Carowinds!
Wanting to get the kids out of the house this summer but you don’t like the heat? Going to hang at the pool sounds great but can get boring after a while especially for older children. Carowinds offers tons of fun outdoors between their amusement park rides and the Carolina Harbor, Carowinds Waterpark!
Many times when our family is looking for our next adventure, we constantly run into one barrier. That barrier is this; something everyone will enjoy. Besides my husband and I, out three children are 15, 11, and 5, with the oldest two being boys and our youngest a girl. Often times what the boys want to do our daughter can’t do because of her size or she simply doesn’t quite understand yet the more sophisticated things. On the other hand, sometimes our guys often echo things like “Mom, this is for little kids”. Carowinds is a true North AND South Carolina Amusement Park, bringing excitment to all ages!
Who doesn’t love a good theme park? Many of the top parks across the country offer something for nearly everyone. Whether it is a high-speed rollercoaster for the adrenaline junkie, amazing food for the foodie or other shows or musical attractions for adults, there is a little bit of something for all the older people.
