Gather your anti-bacterial sprays, microfibre cloths and various cleaners along with your vacuum, duster and bin bags. You’ll need them! Also, throw open your windows to let some fresh air in! Start By Decluttering It may feel like an overwhelming task, but you’ll want to start by decluttering your room. You’ll notice just how much you’ve accumulated since your last deep clean. As you go along, make sure to put items back in their rightful places. The clothes in the corner? See what needs to be washed and what’s clean. It might be worth investing in storage solutions such as baskets and bins to keep your belongings tucked away neatly. Clean and Dust Next, you’ll want to clean all the surfaces in your bedroom. It’s best to start at the top and work your way down. Use a duster to get rid of any cobwebs in the corners of your ceiling and don’t forget to wipe down your ceiling light. Give your curtains or blinds a clean too! You should wipe down your furniture too; your wardrobe, dresser, bedside tables and bed frames. Make sure to get behind furniture and even under your bed. Tackling Bedding It’s essential to wash your bedding and linens regularly as they can harbour dust, sweat and allergens. It’s an effective way to remove any embedded dirt and stains too. If you have wooden flooring instead, vacuum or sweep it to gather up any dust and grime before mopping it over. Whether it’s solid wood flooring or engineered wood flooring, you’ll want to use very little water to avoid damaging the floor. Although, the latter is more water-resistant!
