Christmas Lights in North Carolina

Who doesn’t love Christmas time? The sights, the sounds, and the smells of the season can flood the heart with both cheer and wonderful memories of past years as well. Our family always enjoys finding ways to indulge in all things Christmas and we certainly found that at McLaurin Farms with some of the best Christmas lights in North Carolina.

Once you get on the farm you immediately emerge in a Christmas wonderland! From the Christmas music playing throughout the farm to the many activities, there is something for everyone! 

Did we mention lights? There are lights and displays of all kinds and sizes that you can both enjoy by a walkthrough and a train ride. Along the way, there are even some of your favorite characters available for photos!

The great thing is whether you are on the naughty or nice list, don’t worry! Both Santa and the Grinch were available for photos! While we love jolly ole St Nick, the Grinch was entertaining and made us laugh for sure! 

Kids will really enjoy themselves. The petting zoo was a favorite of our daughter and our boys enjoyed shooting basketball with a bit of a farming twist:). There is also a large playground with a 40 ft slide. While it was for the kids, Christmas brings out the kid in all of us as there were many parents enjoying it too! 

Before leaving, make sure to grab a cup of hot chocolate and warm up around one of the fires to escape the chill of a fantastic December night! Be sure to bring cash or visit one of the onsite ATM’s. All purchases made are cash only including the $10 cash-only parking fee.

Prices

These are the prices per person. Children 2 and under are free. Taxes and fees added at check out for online purchases.

• Sundays $25

Ticket Prices include:

• Hayride through lights (no hay on the trailer for those who may be allergic)
• Walkthrough lights prior to the hayride
• See Santa
• Make an Ornament
• Write a letter to Santa
• A free piece of candy in the candy store
• Grain train through the lights
• Jump on the jump pad
• See the farm animals
• Play on the playground
• See the Grinch

Limited photo sessions are available with Santa Clause and the Grinch. Santa and Mrs. Clause are in a different area than the Grinch. The cost is $20 for each. That includes moving to the front of the line to see Santa or the Grinch and it includes an 8×10 frame with a photo. The price is for the photo not per person, so you can have as many people in the picture as you would like.
