Sight and Sound Theatre Brings Bible to Life Amy Smith, August 10, 2017March 14, 2024 Drama, Singing, and Bible Stories Combined at Sight and Sound Theatre in Branson, MO On our recent trip to Branson, we began seeing various billboards for a show entitled Moses presented at the Sight and Sound Theatre. Since my husband is a youth pastor, his interest was immediately peaked! I was unsure about it, especially with smaller children but at his urging, we went ahead and got our tickets. I am so glad we did! From the moment we arrived, we were awe struck! Of all the theaters in Branson, none have such a majestic presence. It’s outdoor fountains, pristine grounds and just the theatre’s sheer size simply takes your breath away. The immaculate atmosphere continued inside the theater. Having been to many theatrical performances at some of the top venues in the country, none have been any nicer than that of Sight and Sound Theater. The Sights and Sounds Theatre Stage After taking our seats we emerged into the life of Moses. We were surrounded on three sides by a very active stage, featuring 50 different set pieces, a large cast and even live animals! The costumes were magnificent, the performances were top notch and the special effects were state of the art. Not just any production could part the Red Sea! Needless to say, our kids were thoroughly mesmerized by it all. They enjoyed it so much! In fact when it was over my 4-year-old daughter loudly proclaimed “Daddy that was awesome!” at the ending of the show prior to any comments made by the rest of us! She loved the gift shop as well! The Concessions at Sight and Sound Theatre As soon as you enter the building, the smell of roasted almonds fill the air! My daughter was all about the cotton candy, my oldest went for the candy bars but my son has my heart. He chose the roasted almonds which were absolutely delicious! Obviously, with our ministry background we were interested in the theme of the show, however with the amazing performance, detail and talent at the Sight and Sound Theater anyone would enjoy the show. The next time you are in Branson make sure to stop by. You won’t regret it!
