OH SO YUMMY! Homemade Hot Chocolate #recipes Amy Smith, January 15, 2024January 15, 2024 Best Homemade Hot Chocolate For Cold Winter Days Down here in the south, we do not have many snow days. When we do, we make the absolute most of them! Sledding, four wheeling, snuggling under the blankets, games and HOT CHOCOLATE! Last night, we got a few inches of snow. Today has been a blast! To top it off, I made homemade hot chocolate that was AMAZING! I figured I would share the recipe with all of you! You have GOT to try it! Other than the taste, the best part is that more than likely, you already have all the ingredients you will need to make it without another trip to the store. If you live in the south, you won’t be making any trips to the store until the snow melts! (I’m originally from Chicago so I know all of you northern and midwesterners think we are nuts but oh well… I will be “nuts” if it means all this fun!) Check your cabinets and fridge If you have milk, sugar, cocoa, salt, and vanilla extract you need to get it all out and make some delicious hot chocolate right now. You will NEVER buy store bought hot chocolate again! Here’s how you make it. Homemade Hot Chocolate 1/2 cup sugar 1/4 cup cocoa 1/2 tsp salt 1/3 cup water 4 cups milk 1 tsp vanilla Stir sugar, cocoa, and salt in a pot. Once mixed, add water and stir well. Bring to boil (stirring constantly) and boil for one minute. Add in milk while still stirring constantly. Bring it to the temp you prefer. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla. See how simple it is? Now just add some Président Whipped Crème or marshmallows with a little chocolate syrup on top and taste this insanely delicious homemade hot chocolate. The only thing left to do is brag to your friends about how you made your OWN hot chocolate! Let me know how it tastes once you make it!!!
