Lottie Dolls Keeps It Real Amy Smith, September 2, 2017January 22, 2022 Lottie Dolls are Child Inspired You walk in your daughter’s bedroom to find her playing with her dolls. A flood of memories thinking back to being a little girl yourself brings back happy memories. That is until you notice the high heels, makeup, jewelry, skimpy clothing on their dolls. The story line your daughter is acting out is more of a teenage sounding story line. The warm fuzzies have now just turned to a burning feeling deep in your soul. As a mom of a four-year-old daughter, I am just beginning to experience these feelings. At four, retailers are trying to encourage MY child to be so focused on her looks and style. Unfortunately, those “looks” and “styles” aren’t usually the ones that we would allow. Our kids are exposed at very young ages to immodest clothing which leaves them feeling that they need to dress or look a certain way to be “normal”. For my daughter, I want different. I want her to be comfortable in her own skin. I want her to know that her body should be covered more than uncovered. I want her to just enjoy being a KID! I want the innocence I had as a child to be something that she can experience as a child as well. That’s when I came across Lottie Dolls. About Lottie Dolls Lottie Dolls were created after an 18-month time frame packed full of research. After picking the brains of child psychologists, retailers, nutritionists, industry experts, parents and even children to find the best look for their dolls, Lottie Dolls created their first doll. You know what the suggestion was from ALL sources? You will never guess!! The experts and even the children themselves recommended the dolls look like (WAIT FOR IT………..) KIDS! No makeup, no jewelry, no high heels, no fancy figures…. just dolls that look like a child! The 7.5 inch tall Lottie Dolls are based off a 9-year-old’s size proportion, NOT a 29-year-old’s body! Why I Love Lottie Dolls We live in a time where kids are expected to grow up way too fast in the social realm. With Lottie Dolls, my daughter can play without feeling like she has to act older or come up with teen or adult type of stories to act out while playing. All the themes of the dolls have to do with creativity, outdoors, and adventure! Perfect for age appropriate play! I chose the Always Artsy Lottie Doll and the Muddy Puddles Lottie Doll. My daughter is all about art and I can’t tell you the number of times my pants have been soaked from a certain little girl jumping in puddles. She now has dolls that she can use her OWN childhood loves to create a story line each time she plays. We go from acting out dating, disrespect, and worrying about putting on makeup to drawing, splashing in puddles, and playing in the rain! Much more age appropriate play!! I have plenty other Lottie products that I am eyeballing! Next on my list is the Autumn Leaves Lottie Doll and the Treehouse because of my daughter’s love for jumping in the leaves! Give you child the experience you had as a child. Toys have come a long way from what we had growing up! I’m thankful for companies like Lottie Dolls who want kids to really be KIDS! I just love these dolls, I love that they are down to earth ,, with real personalities to them and not full of make up and pretend. @tisonlyme143
I really love the look of these dolls. I think little girls would really relate to them and I know my nieces would enjoy playing with them.
My granddaughter would absolutely love these dolls! I’ve never seen them before, but they are on my christmas shopping list!
I’ve known about this company for a couple years and I do adore them. I don’t own any yet, but I’d choose Muddy Puddles too that’s my favorite.
What a great concept to have a doll that reflects the way real girls dress and play. They are cute and look like fun.
Dolls and all toys have come a LONG way since I was a child! My Barbies’ limbs didn’t even move. I think these dolls are just as cute as can be! I like their outfits and the art easel. These dolls offer a lot of imaginative fun for little girls and I know my granddaughters would love them! TY
I like how brightly colored these dolls seem to be. I also like how they look ‘normal’ not to old but more like children. They are adorable.
My 3 yr old granddaughter loves dolls and barbies. These dolls are so cute! Thank you for the chance ☺
I love how these dolls are made to look like kids (no makeup, no high heels and no curvy figures). The Lottie dolls look so cute and I know my 2 granddaughters would love to play with them.
I love this. These dolls are so cute. Our world seems to push our little ones to grow up to fast. These would be great for my granddaughter. Thank you for sharing. God Bless
These dolls are great for young girls, I think. I love that they look like real girls, not the ‘Bratz’ style, overly made up dolls.
