Happy 36th Birthday Josh!

My blog is focused on family and life in general. So what a better place to tell the one who is the head of MY family, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Fresh out of high school, my best friend and Josh’s best friend decided it would be a great thing to introduce us on a blind double date. So, one Sunday after church, my friend and I met him and his friend at a local pizza place. 

We had seen each other before but had never officially met. After close to a week from the first time we met, we went on another date and the rest was history. We always joke that his persistence paid off. He had asked me out and I told him no at first. I was about to head off to college and was just a little unsure about the whole boyfriend thing.

Needless to say, 6 months later we were engaged. So, I would say I got past the boyfriend thing and moved onto fiance. 

Almost exactly a year to the day of his proposal, we stood before a BUNCH of family and friends and committed our life to one another. The road has been far from easy. Infertility stole a whole bunch of the typical “joys” but replaced them with three beautiful and healthy children. We couldn’t have created better!

Through the tears, through the smiles, through the bitterness, and through the joy, Josh has stood beside me even when I least deserved it. He loves me far more than I could ever imagine. He is the kindest, most forgiving, gentle and loving man I know!

Happy Birthday, Babe! Can’t wait to see what this year holds.
